Artist's Comments

Tyrannosaurus rex no reference.

I felt like doing another one of those "old and new" thingermajiggies, but only in sketch form.

And if you haven't guessed yet, the top is old and the bottom is new.

What age is top?
:icondilong-paradoxus:
What do you mean by age?

--
But what about the Deinonychus?
:iconrl51294:
I mean when did we think theropods look like that? 1950's? 1960's? What?
:icondilong-paradoxus:
60s for the top one...maybe earlier, like 40s or something.

The second one is pretty current.

--
But what about the Deinonychus?
:iconrl51294:
Yeah, thought so. Have you been to Crystal Palace Park in London?
:icondilong-paradoxus:
No, but I've seen pictures. I need to draw one of those sometime...

--
But what about the Deinonychus?
:iconrl51294:
They are rubbish! The Iguanodons have got horns on their noses!!
:icondilong-paradoxus:
Exactly! I mean just for comparison.

--
But what about the Deinonychus?
:iconrl51294:
The sauropods look like a three-year old's impression of a kitten :D
:icondilong-paradoxus:
Wow. All I've seen are pictures of the Megalosaurus and Iguanodon.

--
But what about the Deinonychus?
